Taking full advantage of the local favorable conditions for economic development is one of the great objectives of Binh Duong province. Under the instruction of the Youth Union Central Committee, An Thanh township’s Youth Union in Thuan An district has constantly created favorable conditions for youths to develop homebased business.

 

With VND15mln in loan from the local Bank for Social and Policies, Tang Hoang Thanh Nguyen, a youth in Thanh Loc quarter in An Thanh township bravely got involved in breeding chickens, porcupines and growing orchid. So far, Nguyen Thanh has successfully developed 2,500 orchid trees, 4 pairs of porcupines and over 2,000 chickens with the annual income of over VND100mln.

 

Thanks to the attention and help of the local Youth Union and his family, Nguyen Khac Sinh in Thanh Quy quarter has also improved his family’s one-ha orchard with many special varieties of fruits such as durian, rambutan, mango, mangosteen... After each harvest, his family earns around VND30mlm. He now plans to mobilize capital to foster the orchard.

 

Annually, there are more than 100 youths herein considered for getting loans to develop homebased business. The local People’s Committee and mass organizations’ help and attention have given strength to youths to enrich themselves and their families with some effective business models like Internet services, ornamental tree growing, porcupine breeding…

 

Phan Van Mai, Secretary of the Youth Union Central Committee (photo) also spoke highly of the business models of youths herein, saying that their diligence and intelligence in taking the local advantages to develop homebased business have helped them make great successes…
