On April 7, a delegation of the Central Steering Committee for Renewal and Development of Collective Economy, led by Phung Quoc Chi, Chief of the Steering Committee Office worked with Binh Duong province about the local implementation of the Law on Cooperatives in 2012, the Resolution 13-NQ / TW of the 9th Party Central Executive Committee and the local development of cooperatives. Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee, Deputy Head of provincial Standing Committee for Renewal and Development of Collective Economy received the delegation.

Reportedly, the whole province as of late 2020 had a total of 199 cooperatives with 30,481 members, charter capital of over VND831billion. The total revenue of the local cooperatives last year was estimated at over VND1.4 trillion. The average income of employees was between VND6million and VND14 million  per person per month. So far, 100% of cooperatives in the province have transformed their operational forms in accordance with the Law on Cooperatives in 2012. Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Chi suggested the province to set up pilot cooperative models and replicate them in the coming time; implement central documents in order to have timely support solutions for cooperatives to develop effectively, bringing benefits to people when they take part in the linkage in production...

For his part, Mr. Truc also acknowledged contributive ideas by the delegation. He said that the province will recheck and complete the local report on collective economic development in the coming time.

On this occasion, the delegation had a field trip to Nhan Duc Agricultural Cooperative in North Tan Uyen district’s Hieu Liem Commune and Tan My Fruit Cooperative in North Tan Uyen district’s Tan My Commune.
