Outstanding collectives, individuals with achievements in civilized urban, new rural construction honored

On April 20, provincial Fatherland Front Committee (FFC) held a conference to review the 5-year implementation of the campaign "All people consolidate in civilized urban, new rural construction” for the 2016-2020 period and sum up the joint program for the implementation of the campaign.

Attending the conference were Nguyen Anh Xuan, Deputy Head of the Southern Department of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial FFC; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education; Nguyen Thanh Truc, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

Over the past 5 years, the campaign  was implemented very well.  Provincial FFCs at all levels mobilized VND45.5 billion to the "For the Poor" fund; built and upgraded 543 “great unity” houses with a total cost of over VND 26 billion; visited, presented gifts worth over VND12 billion to policy beneficiary and poor; mobilized people and businesses to contribute more than VND2trillion to the local new rural construction. There were 100% of quarters, hamlets, self-managing groups of people building regulations, new cultural lifestyle, upholding the fine traditions of family and society. The province also obtained many positive results in the cause of education - training and public healthcare. In the period of 2016-2018, provincial FFCs at all levels mobilized over VND 33 billion to provincial Relief Fund. In 2020 alone, VND22.7 billion was mobilized to help needy people in the northern mountainous provinces, the Central and Central Highlands regions, and support Covid-19 prevention and control ...

At the conference, provincial FFC signed a joint program with member organizations and units to implement the campaign for the period of 2021-2026. On this occasion, provincial People's Committee awarded the certificates of merit to 10 collectives and 6 individuals. Provincial FFC also  awarded the certificates of merit to 18 collectives and 18 individuals for their outstanding achievements in the implementation of the 2016-2020 campaign.
