2014 national press festival: A beautiful impression in the hearts of readers

On March 17, the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, the Party Central Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education, the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Ho Chi Min city’s People's Committee held the closing ceremony of the 2014 national press festival. The closing ceremony was attended by Nguyen Trong Nghia, Head of the Party Central Committee's Commission for Propaganda and Education; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang; leaders of the Ministry of Information and Communications, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Ho Chi Minh city’s People's Committee, central and local press agencies.

Speaking at the ceremony, Nguyen Duc Loi, Pernament Vice-Chairman of the Vietnam Journalists’ Association, Head of the Organization Board of the festival said that with many exciting activities, the 2024 National Press Festival with the theme of "Vietnamese Press - Pioneering, Innovation for the Revolutionary Cause of the Party and the People" took place very successfully. This is the first time the 2024 National Press Festival has been held in the Southern region on a large scale. At the ceremony, Mr. Nghia praised the Vietnam Journalists’ Association and its units for successfully coordinating and organizing the National Press Festival 2024. Within the framework of this year's National Press Festival, the Organization Board and Awards Council of the festival awarded 11 A prizes, 29 B prizes, 53 C prizes and 88 consolation prizes to press agencies in the categories of best displaying booth, impressive Tet radio programme, impressive Tet television programme, impressive Tet electronic newspaper interface, and impressive Tet newspaper cover.

It is known that Binh Duong Radio and Television Station won the C Prize and consolation prize in the categories of impressive Tet radio program, impressive Tet television program, respectively. Binh Duong Newspaper won a consolation prize in the category of impressive Tet electronic newspaper interface. The Association of Journalists of the Southeast provinces won the C award for best displaying booth.
