22 Vietnamese companies enjoy shrimp anti-dumping duty at 0.01%

Vietnamese shrimp products has more advantage in the US market.

The Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Processors, said the US Department of Commerce (DoC) has amended its final anti-dumping duties for February 1, 2006 through January 31, 2007 for 22 Vietnamese shrimp companies.

Accordingly, 22 Vietnamese shrimp exporters enjoy the tax of 0.01 percent. According to representatives of VASEP, if the verdict has no appeal, DOC will instruct the US Customs and Border Protection to impose anti-dumping tariffs for shipments imported the US market according to the amended tax and this is great news for our country’s shrimp exports.

Earlier, the US axed its anti-dumping duties of 3.92 percent to 1.52 for 29 Vietnamese shrimp exporters.
