30 provinces and cities attend conference on “Improving quality of People’s Council sessions”

Addressing the conference, the provincial People’s Council chairman Vu Minh Sang briefed on local socio-economic development, local goals in the 2011-2016 term and applauded organization of the conference.

In the 2004-2011 term, the People’s Councils at provinces and cities basically excelled functions and tasks as stipulated, contributing to socio-economic development at localities and excelling role of the State agencies across localities.

However, aside from the done results, operation of People’s Councils remains limited. The conference therefore focused on key issues such as inspection, assessment, report, question and answer… in a bid to improve quality of People’s Council sessions.

The conference participants heard about discussions, experiences and lessons to improve restrictions of People’s Council operation.
