385,000 poor households enjoy houses

According to the Ministry of Construction, after more than 2 years of implementation of the housing support for poor households in line with Decision No.167/2008/QD-TTg dated Dec. 12, 2008, the whole country has so far supported houses for nearly 385,000 households, reaching 78% of total beneficiaries.

At present, many provinces and cities have completed the program of housing support for needy families. They include Ninh Binh, Quang Ninh, Bac Ninh, Lao Cai, Lam Dong, Phu Tho, Thai Nguyen, Dac Lac, Dac Nong…

To promote progress of the program, the ministry asked central provinces and cities to allocate budget as stipulated and mobilize sources from community and businesses to increase funds for the program.
