5th provincial Congress of Family Planning Association for 2022-2027 tenure opens

On April 21, provincial Family Planning Association held its 5th congress for the 2022-2027 tenure and received the second-class Labor Medal.

The event was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Ba Nhat, Chairman of the Vietnam Family Planning Association Central Committee; Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Propaganda-Education Commission; Nguyen Van Danh, Vice-Chairman of provincial People's Committee.

In the past tenure, the association diversified propaganda activities among adolescents, young people, workers in enterprises, and people in remote and poor communes; maintained the effective operation of reproductive health and sexual health club models, contributing to reducing the rate of sexually transmitted diseases, maintaining a reasonable fertility rate..., contributing to raising awareness, knowledge of reproductive health care for the local people... The congress elected the 5th Executive Board of provincial Family Planning Association for the 2022-2027 tenure with 21 members. Doctor Vu Thi Kim Tinh was re-elected as Chairwoman of the 5^th association.

Speaking at the congress, Mr. Danh highly appreciated activities done by provincial Family Planning Association during the past 5 years. He asked for the association to preside over and coordinate with relevant units and localities to continue upholding results done, overcoming difficulties and effectively carrying out key tasks in the next tenure...

On this occasion, provincial Family Planning Association was awarded the second-class Labor Medal for its outstanding achievements from 2015-2019. The Prime Minister awarded the certificate of merit to Nguyen Thi Kim Phi, Permanent Vice-Chairman of Dau Tieng district’s Family Planning Association. Provincial People's Committee also awarded the certificates of merit to 5 collectives and 12 individuals with outstanding achievements in activities of provincial Family Planning Association for the 2015-2020 period.
