According to Di An city’s People's Committee, the city’s project on "Synthesis of social resources in waste reduction" in has brought "double effects".

After more than 2 years of implementing the project, Di An city has reduced domestic solid waste from households, industrial, trade and service waste in economic sectors, schools, entertainment centers.…; raised public awareness and habits of sorting garbage at source, limited the use of single-use plastic products, non-degradable nylon bags of the community and society.

Accordingly, the city has organized more than 20 training courses on the model of classifyling waste at source for households in Tan Binh ward’s Biconsi residential and households in Song Than commercial-service urban area and Railway 1 residential area in Di An ward… Up to now, all the 1,800 households in the project have been propagandized about the content of classifying waste at source. There have been 80% of households practicing classifying waste at source under the regulations of the project.
