Flocking to Tet market

The Spring market day took place at Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park from Jan. 16-19. The market-day every day attracted thousands of visitors and shoppers.

At 7 p.m, ambience of Spring overwhelmed the market day. Numerous flocked to the market day to select new clothes, essential goods for the coming Tet holiday. Truong Thi Thom, worker of Esten Company chosen to buy 3 bottles of bath milk. She said “3 bottles of bath milk priced at VND100mil are very cheap. I can use for the whole year or present them to my mother and younger sisters on the coming Tet holiday”.

Meanwhile, Nguyen Ngoc Anh, worker of Hasan Co.Ltd. came to the reproduction health consultancy stall at the market day to ask about her health. She said “I am very interested in health and reproduction health but I’m afraid to come to hospital. After being introduced by friends, I arrive at the market day. Herein, shoppers both enjoy goods purchase with preferential prices and health consultancy”.

A special market day

Unlike other ordinary fairs, the Spring market day offered many incentives for workers. Firstly, shoppers entered the market day without buying entrance tickets. Next, they enjoyed items with preferential prices at 60 booths.

To hold this market day, the center arrived previously at businesses to sign commitments on offering high quality commodities with preferential prices for customers.

Participating in the market day, young workers enjoyed consultancies on laws, reproduction healthcare, love, marriage - family as well as free hairdressing, helmet change, folk games, music show and so on.

Particularly, other attractive programs of decorating Tet flower, arranging fruit dishes for Tet and among others. On this occasion, the provincial youth union granted 400 scholarships worth VND120mil to secretaries, heads and proprietors of youth unions, societies and lodging houses and clubs. Thuan An town youth union donated 40 gifts, each worth VND500,000 to poor young workers.

In addition, the center offered 21 free bus tickets to needy young workers living and working at Thuan An town. The market day is an ideal shopping and entertainment location for young workers on the upcoming Tet holiday.

Do Van Phung, vice director of the center, said “In the coming time, we yearly will hold 2 market days for young workers on the occasion of Month for Young Workers and Tet holiday. The market days help young workers approach commodities with stabilized prices. Additionally, organizing social programs at the market day is to help underprivileged young workers ease difficulties in life”.
