Update: 01-09-2011 | 00:00:00

66 years ago, on Sept. 2, 1945 tens of thousand of people flocked routes to hear Van Cong Khai, secretary of Thu Dau Mot province to read the Declaration of Independence at Phu Cuong Hall (now Phu Cuong ward People’s Committee headquarters).

 Nguyen Hau Tai.

Nguyen Hau Tai, a senior revolutionist in Phu Cuong ward, Thu Dau Mot town never forgets emotion on that day. Experiencing the history’s rise and fall, Binh Duong is now on development. Tai said “Sometimes, visting Binh Duong new city and My Phuoc township in Ben Cat district, I thought I went to other localities not my homeland. Therefore, I hope young people and intellectuals have made more efforts for the country”.

Mixing with joy of National Day, Nguyen Hau Tai is now busy to hold a death anniversary of late President Ho Chi Minh. So far, he has held late President Ho Chi Minh’s death anniversary for 42 times. “According to Vietnamese tradition and culture, I consider late President Ho Chi Minh as my father”, he said.

During 21 years of study and working at the North of Vietnam, Tai luckily met President Ho Chi Minh twice. In the first time, Tai met President Ho Chi Minh at the Agro-industrial School while President Ho Chi Minh visited and encouraged Southern students.

And the second time, Tai met President Ho Chi Minh in 1965 while the President was working at the Ministry of Agriculture.
