Action Month for Children (Summer 2022) kicks off

On June 5, Steering Committee of provincial youth activities in collaboration with the Steering Committee of the provincial action program for children, Provincial Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs, Provincial Youth Union, Provincial HYPO Council, and People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City held the opening ceremony of children’s summer, launched the Action Month for Children and Children's Day of Binh Duong province in 2022 with the theme "Join hands to protect children, speak up to prevent and combat abuse and violence in schools”. Nguyen Loc Ha, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, attended the ceremony.

At the ceremony, the Provincial HYPO Council started two provincial-level youth projects, including: "Space for reading and youth activities" for the Provincial Children's House and "Bookshelf for children" for the provincial Little Star Preschool; awarded 117 long-term scholarships to disadvantaged children and children orphaned by Covid-19, each worth 2 million VND/month; provided long-term financial support until children grow up with an estimated total cost for one year of nearly VND3 billion. On this occasion, Steering Committee for Youth Activities of Thu Dau Mot City gave 30 gifts to disadvantaged children and students in the city.
