Action Month for Food Quality, Safety and Hygiene 2014 launched in Di An

Early April 16, all 7 wards of Di An town held ceremonies to launch the Action Month for Food Quality, Safety and Hygiene 2014 with the theme of “Safety for street foodstuff”.

The launching ceremonies approved action plans of this year’s Action Month for Food Quality, Safety and Hygiene. Representatives of the local street food-trading establishments also signed commitments to fully comply with the regulations on assuring food safety during the Action Month.

Following this, many propaganda activities were organized by the local mass organizations and health stations through hanging propaganda posters with the slogans of “Customers should not use harmful food additives for health”, “Let’s do 10 regulations in street food”…; delivering leaflets to each food trading household; parading to propagandize the Action Month…

After the launching ceremonies, the town’s inter-sectoral inspection delegation will make inspection tours of food trading establishments, collective kitchens and carry out quick tests for foodstuff like noodle, alcohol, pork bologna… to opportunely discover wrong cases and strictly handle them.
