Activities of North Tan Uyen, Ben Cat’s Youth Unions in 2014 under review

Early January 20, North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union held a conference to review its activities in 2014 and implement orientations, tasks in 2015.

The district’s Youth Union last year carried many significant works. Under the “Green dream” work, the district’s Youth Union awarded 730 scholarships to poor-but-excellent pupils. The “For sentimental attachment to border and island areas” work also mobilized VND43mln or 113% of the set target.

In addition, the district’s Youth Union got involved in many other significant activities, including carrying out a program “Youth joining hands in new rural construction; presenting 38 gifts to young workers with difficult circumstances; organizing festive days for young workers, Vietnamese young workers’ families…Under the Project of “Improving youth’s awareness of laws”, the district’s Youth Union held 59 propaganda shows with the participation of nearly 1,500 youngsters…

On this occasion, the People’s Committee of North Tan Uyen district honored 17 collectives and 17 individuals. Provincial Youth Union also honored 3 collectives and 8 individuals for their excellent performance in the movements of the Youth Union in 2014.

The town’s Youth Union last year organized 432 propaganda shows on “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals”, the Directive of the Central Committee of the Youth Union on accelerating training of Youth Union officials’ manners…All affiliates of the town’s Youth Union got involved in writing diaries about following Uncle Ho’s teachings. The town’s Youth Union also mobilized 14,000 Youth Union members to take part in the “Voluntary Saturday”, “Green Sunday” campaigns; planted 1,200 green trees…

On this occasion, provincial Youth Union honored 2 collectives and 7 individuals. 22 other collectives and individuals (photo) were also honored by the town’s Youth Union for their excellent performance in the movements of the Youth Union in 2014.
