Additional nearly VND230mln raised to support disaster victims in Japan

*Phu Giao’s Red Cross Society collects nearly VND48mln

 Since early April, many individuals and organizations in the province have continued to raise funds for Japan’s earthquake and tsunami victims with nearly VND230mln, according to provincial Red Cross Society.

Thus, as of April 13, provincial Red Cross Society has received more than VND444.535mln from many organizations and individuals to support Japan’s earthquake and tsunami victims.

 *As of late April 14, Phu Giao district’s Red Cross Society has received nearly VND48mln from 28 district-based units to support the disaster victims of Japan, including VND19.6mln from Phuoc Hoa commune’s Fatherland Front Committee and other mass organizations, VND5mln from Tan Hiep commune’s Red Cross Society, VND2.6mln from Phuoc Vinh township’s Youth Union, VND2.1mln from Nguyen Trai high school, VND1.3mln from Tay Son high school…

The district’s Red Cross Society also continues to call for the local agencies, mass organizations, businesses and people from all walks of life to actively raise funds for the disaster victims of Japan, helping them overcome the consequences of the recent natural disaster and soon stabilize their lives.
