All for social welfare

 This statement was set out by Superior Buddhist monk Thich Bao Nghiem, vice chairman of the provincial Buddhism Society and head of Vietnam Shangha’s Central Buddhism Commission and head of the organizing board of 2011 national Buddhism Seminar.

The Superior Buddhist monk asked the organizing board improve difficulties and uphold advantages to bring success for the seminar. He also stressed that all of activities on the occasion as well as the motto of the Vietnam Shangha are to go with the nation, contributing to build a society better and for social welfare.

Specifically, on the occasion of the seminar, many significant deeds were conducted. They included charity house building, heart surgery support for poor children, charity health check-up and treatment... with the total value of over VND10bil. Also the same day, the organizing board held a press conference with the participation of 14 press agencies.        

On the occasion, the local Buddhism society in cooperation with the local Fatherland Front Committee and local Red Cross society granted 700 bikes to excellent-but-poor students from 7 districts and townships.
