Artisans of Binh Duong win prizes at Southern Fruit Festival 2012

The Southern Fruit Festival 2012 closed at Suoi Tien Culture and Tourism site on June 23.

Noticeably, this year’s festival absorbed the participation of 11 consulates in HCM city together with four art troupes from Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. 

The organizing board of the festival also summed up a “Delicious and Safe Fruit” competition with 850 varieties of fruits from  650 artisans in 16 provinces and cities across the country.

First prize went to Ben Tre’s mangos teen. The organizing board also presented 5 second prizes and 27 third prizes to other delicious and safe fruits.

The festival’s fruit arrangement contest also lured nearly 100 artisans. Finally, in the Group A, first prize belonged to artisan Nguyen Van Tan with the art work of “Truong Sa belongs to Vietnam”. Artisan Le Ngoc Diep of Binh Duong won second prize with the art work of “Ha Long, the holy land of country”

In the Group B, artisan Le Thanh Trang of Binh Duong grasped first prize with the art work of “Ha Long, the pride of Vietnam”. Many other prizes were also presented to artisans at the contest.
