According to reports, the province has achieved and exceeded 29/34 targets of the 2022 plan so far. Specifically, the province's index of industrial production (IIP) is estimated to increase by 8.9%; total retail sales of goods and services was estimated at 269,440 billion VND, up 16.8%; export turnover reached 35.7 billion USD, up 9%; import turnover reached 25.8 billion USD, up 1% compared to 2021.

The whole province attracted 77,986 billion VND of domestic investment capital and 2 billion 841 million USD of foreign investment capital. Up to now, the province has attracted 3,955 FDI projects with a total registered capital of over 35.8 billion USD. Regarding external activities, the province has made many good impressions through the successful organization of many international events.

At the meeting, leaders of Provincial People's Council asked Provincial People's Committee to urgently complete draft resolutions and submit them to the meeting of Provincial People's Council for approval at the end of 2022.

Concluding the meeting, Vo Van Minh said that, on the basis of the achieved results, the Provincial People's Committee set a general goal in 2023 to focus on effectively implementing Resolution No. 24 of the Politburo on socio-economic development and national defence and security assurance in the Southeast until 2030, with a vision for 2045; further accelerate the process of socio-economic recovery and development, stimulate growth on the basis of digital transformation and digital economy, and ensure the balance of the economy. The Provincial People's Committee identified 34 key targets in 2023, in which the province's gross domestic product needs to increase by 8.5 - 8.7% compared to 2022.

PPC Chairman noted that in 2023, most targets are higher than in 2022. Therefore, in order to ensure the successful implementation of the 2023 targets, competent departments, sectors, and localities need to further analyse and clarify some contents, such as: budget revenue and expenditure in 2022 and budget estimate 2023; advantages and disadvantages in 2023; the import and export of enterprises and the supply of petrol and oil; progress of procedures and investment plans for key road transport projects; plans to relocate some medical facilities...
