Spring with new appearance

At the end of the year, Tan Uyen has inaugurated and started construction of many works in celebration of the 17th anniversary of the province’s re-establishment and New Year 2014. Putting the district’s stadium into use has opened a new appearance for the province’s cultural and sports activities.

Nguyen Phu Yen, Deputy Director of provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism said: “Tan Uyen is a district with cultural and sports movements on relative development, but its material facilities in this field are still limited. So far, the district’s stadium has been put into use with many items: football ground, swimming pool…, contributing to promoting the local cultural and sports movements, thereby step by step helping the district well realize the campaign “All people take physical exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho”…

Getting animated with practical activities

To celebrate the 17th anniversary of the province’s re-establishment, many cultural and sports activities will be organized across the province, including a cross-country run in celebration of New Year 2014, art performances in celebration of Party and Spring 2014…

One of the most animated events is the art performance in celebration of the 17th anniversary of the province’s re-establishment (January 1, 1997-January 1, 2014) that will take place at TDM city’s six-way crossroads on the evening of December 31. The program is performed by provincial Traditional Art Troupe with several items winning prizes at the 2013 Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, and Myanmar art performance. Viewers will also have a chance to enjoy items performed by meritorious artist Phuong Hang, Mai Van Dang, the winner of the 2013 Tieng Hat Mai Xanh (Evergreen Voice), HCM City Television's (HTV) singing contest for amateurs aged 35 and above…together with many comedies performed by artists from HCM city.

The same evening, Binh Duong Radio-Television Station and Becamex Industrial Investment and Development Corporation (Becamex IDC) will jointly organize a special art performance themed “Binh Duong welcomes the New Year 2014”. The program promises to bring viewers a joyful atmosphere with many special items performed by famous singers from HCM city, namely Hien Thuc, Anh Bang, Vy Oanh, Ngoc Tram, Thao My, Duong Trieu Vu, Dam Vinh Hung…

In celebration of the New Year 2014, a special art performance will take place at Di An town’s administrative park with the performance of singers under the town’s mass art troupe together with renown singers and many art troupes from HCM city on the evening of December 31.

General art performances will be also organized in the embankment of Lai Thieu and the Uyen Hung residential area of Tan Uyen district. They are performed by the local mass art troupes with many special items on the evening of December 31.

In addition, Dau Tieng district’s Center for Culture, Information and Sports will kick off a film show and a variety show in celebration of Party and New Year 2014 at the district’s Statue of Victory on the evening of January 1, 2014.

With diversified and special items, the province’s art performances to welcome the New Year 2014 promise to be very attractive, bringing a joyful atmosphere all people on the occasion of the beginning of the New Year.

For TDM city-the heart of the province, the city’s sectors have accelerated urban rejuvenation; focused on ensuring traffic safety, making environmental hygiene towards a green-clean-nice and safe environment; arranged parking lots for those who visit streets and parks in inner city. Many art performances in celebration of the 17th anniversary of the province’s re-establishment and New Year 2014 will also take place across districts and towns in the province.

Besides, mass organizations in the province have welcomed the above events by many practical activities. Noticeably, provincial Youth Union and its affiliates have organized a series of art and cultural activities: contests for elegant students-pupils, singing contests for students and pupils…The local young people have also got involved in many significant activities for the sake of the community, including building houses of compassion for Youth Union members with difficult circumstances; providing free medical check-ups and medicine for the poor; making environmental hygiene; restoring urban order, contributing to making the impression of a flexible, civilized and modern Binh Duong on visitors…
