Binh Duong is ready for the first day of new school year

On August 29, together with students from all over the country, more than 500,000 students in Binh Duong province started going back to school. In order to prepare for the new shcoo year, the provincial education branch has made great efforts to improve material facilities and equipment, and coordinate with medical branch to continue closely monitoring the Covid-19 as well as ohter diseases, like: dengue fever, hand-foot-mouth... to have a timely treatment plan to guarantee the safety of students returning to school.

Specifically, Provincial Department of Education and Training has coordinated with Department of Health to organize the Covid-19 vaccination for students right at schools. Schools assigned teachers to propagate and mobilize parents to have their children vaccinated against Covid-19. According to statistics of the autorities, at all school levels in the province, more than 40% of students have been vaccinated against Covid-19. For hand-foot-mouth disease, medical centers in localities in collaboration with Education and Training Offices cleaned the environment, disinfected tables and chairs, teaching tools, toys, and school supplies. Schools also redecorated classrooms, cleaned up school playgrounds...

Nguyen Thi Nhat Hang, Director of Provincial Department of Education and Training, said that the department had directed schools to examine all material facilities and develop a repair and maintenance plan during last summer to prepare well for the new school year. The disease prevention and control always concerns education branch at all levels. Schools basically meet the necessary conditions, are ready to welcome students in the new school year. Education offices at localities completed preparation steps to welcome students on the first day of new school year, ready to enter a new school year with joy, safety and success.
