During the process of implementing renewal of the Party and State, Binh Duong has had strong renewal of thinking. Accordingly, Binh Duong has given priorities of investment and research to assess strategic vision and overall planning under consultancy of international excellent experts to set out long-term, modern, international standard developing planning. Binh Duong has soon built and concretize strategies for the sake of industrialization and modernization.

Process of thinking renewal of industrialization, modernization and urbanization has been recognized as an important breakthrough and a sustainable roadmap. Accordingly, the local administration has focused on developing industry-service-agriculture in combination with economic restructure, increase on export, attention to hi-tech agriculture.

In addition, Binh Duong has soon set out policies of foreign investment attraction for rapid development in a bid to take advantage of external force, economic cooperation, integration as well as promote advantage and potential of the locality. Therefore, local foreign investment has accounted for 69.4%.

Binh Duong’s present development has marked process of contribution of the State enterprises, especially Becamex IDC Corp. – the first enterprise implementing joint venture with foreign partners to carry out strategy of industrialization and modernization.

Thinking is also developed on spurring breakthrough strategies, especially development of infrastructure facilities, human resources and reform, administration modernization. Binh Duong has focused all sources of economic sectors on building synchronous and modern infrastructure structure and integrated industrial parks. Binh Duong’s technical infrastructure has been built synchronously by planning of industrial parks attached to service, new residential areas, trade and satellite areas. Meanwhile, social infrastructure has been built with high quality and traffic infrastructure in the locality has been synchronously connected with Binh Duong New City and urban areas and other localities, contributing greatly to local socio-economic development in line with industrialization, urbanization and modernization. High quality human resources has promoted role of production and management. The local administration has applied program of training and education and improvement of quality of manpower as well as cooperated with sources to build international universities and schools and more.
