Binh Duong’s auto street still gets animated in difficult period

Update: 24-03-2012 | 00:00:00

Binh Duong now has an auto “street” along National Highway No.13 with tens of auto salons. Noticeably, this auto street is still very animated in the current difficult context.

 Potential market

There are now more than 20 auto salons on the National Highway No.13’s section from Vinh Phu bridge to Dia Chat crossroads.

Nguyen Van Hue, the sales executive of Nissan Binh Duong said that Binh Duong is a potential market for auto sales. That’s reason why Nissian decided to select Binh Duong to open its agent in mid 2011.

 Auto market is still animated

He added that Binh Duong’s auto purchasing power is higher than many other provinces and cities, so Binh Duong has become attractive for auto investors. This is also the thing concerned by Truong Hai Auto Joint Stock Co., or Thaco when selecting Binh Duong to open an auto showroom of 2,400 sq.m in Thuan An town.

Do Van Thang, deputy director of Thaco’s Lai Thieu branch said that as surveyed, Binh Duong’s auto purchasing power has been ranked 4th or 5th among localities nationwide for many years. Hence, Thaco has bravely opened a large-scale auto showroom in Binh Duong.

Hyundai Thanh Cong Auto Joint Stock Co. has also been convinced by Binh Duong’s purchasing power and development potential for auto market.

 Unremarkable influence

Possibly speaking, this is the most difficult period for auto traders as tourism auto market regularly sees sluggishness at the beginning of the year.

There were also a lot of disadvantage information relating to auto over the past time, including the increase of petrol price, traffic fees, registration fees… But, Binh Duong-based auto salons have not been affected much by the above-mentioned difficulties.

Mr.Thang said that the sales of tourism vehicles has been affected a little bit while commercial vehicles have still reaped good results in sales in Binh Duong, due to the local great demand for production development.

Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, deputy head of the Sales Department of Nam Thai Private Enterprise, a distributor of Chevrolet vehicles, also had the same idea with Mr.Thang.

Meanwhile, Huynh Huu Hai, director of Hyundai Binh Duong said that his company has still gained positive results in sales in the current difficult context. It has also launched many promotional programs to stimulate demand, contributing to making Binh Duong’s auto street more animated.
