Binh Duong’s youngsters volunteer for the sake of community

Through a series of revolutionary movements and actions, young people in Binh Duong has further affirmed their important role in the national development and construction process.

Over the past time, provincial Youth Union further sped up education work among young people via the campaign of “Studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh’s exemplary morals”.

The movement of “five volunteers” and “four cooperations” launched by provincial Youth Union also contributed to strongly upholding youths’ potential and created a good educational environment for the evolution of  youths and community. Under the Project of “Universalizing and enhancing computer skills for youths in the 2011 and 2015 period, provincial Youth Union organized classes on computer skills for 1,700 youths at society’s requirements.

In addition, provincial Youth Union teamed up with the local Bank for Social Policies to provide more than VND2bln in loan for youths; coordinated with relevant agencies to introduce jobs to 9,140 youths; opened 34 vocational training classes for 4,218 youths; introduced lodgings with cheap price to 603 students and young workers…

Provincial Youth Union also got many other significant activities, including building and upgrading 13 charity and gratitude houses with a total expense of nearly VND250mln; opening charity classes for street children; taking care of lonely elderly people; offering help to needy people…

In the coming time, provincial Youth Union will further promote the youth voluntary movements, contributing to showing the role of youths in dealing with the community’s urgent matters. These movements focus on sci-tech transfer in production, hunger eradication, poverty reduction, environmental protection...

The campaigns of “Sentimental attachment for border, island regions” and “For beloved Truong Sa” will continue to uphold the role of youths in national defense.

During the international integration process, provincial Youth Union over time organized exchange programs with youths in many countries in the world. Especially, the signing of a cooperative agreement on building the Vietnam-South Korea Cultural Exchange Center in Binh Duong not only boosted mutual understanding between the two countries, but also established friendly cooperative relationship between South Korea’s Daejeon city and Binh Duong.

Pham Hong Thang, vice-secretary of provincial Youth Union emphasized that the movement of “five volunteers” and “four cooperations” over the past time gained robust development in both quantity and quality, contributing to building of a strong Youth Union and upholding youths’ potential for the prosperity of homeland.
