Under the moral philosophy of “When drinking water, remember its source”, Binh Duong province’s Party, government and people always pay attention to the “Paying debt of gratitude” work and see it as one of the local key tasks.
So far, the province has dealt with additional 24,634 documents on State allowances for policy beneficiaries, bringing the total number of such documents to more than 40,000. Among them, there are now 8,700 enjoying monthly allowances.
The province has also paid attention to seeking remains of martyrs for burial and upgrading province-based martyrs’ cemeteries. Estimatedly, there were 784 remains of martyrs discovered and buried at province-based martyrs’ cemeteries.
The whole province has a total of 810 Vietnamese heroic mothers, 61 of whom are still alive; 116 seriously wounded and sick soldiers and martyrs’ families with difficult circumstances have been maintained by units, enjoyed an extra monthly allowance between VND400,000 and VND600,000 each and many other incentive policies. More than 10,000 policy beneficiaries and some of their relatives have been also granted health insurance cards.
Along with State budget, the province over time mobilized to organizations and individuals to build 2,150 gratitude houses worth more than VND38bln, present 917 saving books worth more than VND390mln. Taking care of the lives of policy beneficiaries have been socialized by many significant programs and movements. Thanks to this, there have been many policy beneficiaries rising up out of poverty and becoming exemplary role-models in production and businesses.
Many gratitude-showing activities have been also organizing across the province on the 63rd anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs’ Day. Beginning from July 26, a delegation of provincial leaders visited and presented 280 gifts worth VND1.5mln each to outstanding policy beneficiary families with difficult circumstances. On this occasion, more than 18,000 policy beneficiaries will be also presented between VND400,000 and VND600,000 each from provincial State budget.
