Doctor Han Khoi Quang, deputy director of provincial General Hospital is well known by many people thanks to his devotion and scientific research works that have brought substantial effects to the local medicine sector.

  

Outstanding delegates at the conference

For his contributions to the local medicine sector, Mr.Quang was conferred the title “People’s physician” on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of Vietnam’s Doctors’Day. And he is the first person in the province to win this title.

 

At the conference, Mr.Quang also said that along with professional capacity, physicians needed to regularly improve their ethics towards patients while seeing patients as their own relatives…

 

Whilst, Dang Thi Kim Lan, a former nursing staff at provincial General Hospital has well uphold the spirit of “Physician is like good mother” during the past 35 years. For her contributions to public healthcare, she was awarded the title “Meritorious physician”.

 

Herbalist Nguyen Manh Hung in Thuan An district’s Binh Nham commune has also actively got involved in charity treatment task. Over the past 10 years, he provided free medical treatment for thousands of poor patients by laser-based acupuncture technique…

 

Those who always look towards the community

 

Many bright examples for the sake of the community were honored at the conference. Among them was Nguyen Si Ho, a teacher at Tan Binh high school in Tan Uyen district. After school hours, the teacher has made efforts in carrying out the “Bringing remains of martyrs to their families” program initiated by him, contributing to bringing joyfulness to the families of martyrs. Meanwhile, Truong Van Tien, chairman of Lac An communal Veterans’ Society in Tan Uyen district has also actively got involved in charity activities.

 

Like the two above men, non Trinh Thi Dao, director of Thuan An Center for Disable Children has actively got involved in social and charity work towards the community. She has devoted her life to bringing up hearing-impaired children…
