"City without waste" model launched

Early April 23, Thu Dau Mot (TDM) city’s Fatherland Front Committee held a festival for self-managing groups to protect the environment and combat climate change in residential areas and in religious organizations while launching the "City without waste" model in 2023.

The festival was attended by Nguyen Van Dong, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of TDM city’s Party Committee; leaders of departments, sectors and localities; 480 members of 32 self-management groups to protect the environment and combat climate change in residential areas and religious organizations in the city with a team of student volunteers from Thu Dau Mot University.

At the festival, some units introduced effective ways; gave contributive ideas in the process of organizing and maintaining the activities of the self-management groups to protect the environment and combat climate change.

At the festival, the city's Fatherland Front Committee rewarded 28 individuals with many contributions in the activities of the self-management groups on environmental protection. On this occasion, the self-management groups launched the "City without waste" model.
