Closing the 10th Congress of Binh Duong Farmers' Union, term 2023-2028: Dynamism, creativity and integration promoted

On August 25, the 10th Congress of Binh Duong Provincial Farmers' Union, term 2023-2028, held its closing session. The ceremony was attended by Pham Minh Hung, Member of the Central Standing Committee of Vietnam Farmers' Union, Head of the Central Standing Office of the Vietnam Farmers' Union in the South; Nguyen Minh Thuy, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Organization Committee; Bui Thanh Nhan, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Mass Mobilization Committee; Truong Thi Bich Hanh, Member of Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of Provincial Party Propagation and Education Committee; representatives of departments, branches, socio-political organizations in the province, and leaders of Provincial Farmers' Union of previous periods...

New thinking, new vision

After two meeting days with urgency, democracy and responsibility, the 10th Congress of Binh Duong Provincial Farmers' Union, term 2023-2028, has completed the entire program. The Congress comprehensively assessed the results achieved, pointed out the shortcomings, limitations, causes of the advantages and disadvantages in the past term, and drew lessons from experience. In addition, the congress received opinions from leaders of the Central Committee of Vietnam Farmers' Union and leaders of Provincial Party Committee, along with presentations from departments, branches and Farmers' Farmers' Unions of districts, towns and cities in the province; clearly affirmed the results of the union work and farmers' movement; thereby having new thinking and vision to continue to propose solutions to improve works of farmers' unions and movements meeting practical requirements.

The Congress elected the Executive Board of Provincial Farmers' Union, 10th term, tenure 2023-2028, in accordance with the standards, structure, inheritance, and enough capacity to shoulder the responsibility of leading, directing and organizing the implementation of the congress’ Resolution. The Congress also elected elite delegates to represent provincial farmers' officials and members to attend the 8th National Congress of Vietnam Farmers' Union. The Congress also elected the Standing Committee, the President and Vice-Chairmen of Provincial Farmers' Union for the tenure 2023-2028. Do Ngoc Huy was re-elected as Chairman of the 10th Provincial Farmers' Union. At the closing session, the Executive Committee of the 10th Provincial Farmers' Union was also introduced, including 29 members; and the delegation to attend the Eighth National Congress of Vietnam Farmers' Union...

Speaking at the closing session, Do Ngoc Huy, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Union, affirmed that the 10th Congress of Binh Duong Farmers' Union, term 2023-2028, was a great success. This is the result of a serious and responsible preparation process of the 9th Provincial Farmers' Union’s Executive Board, of officials and members in the province with expeditious, innovative, democratic spirit, solidarity and responsibility.

Strive to successfully implement resolutions

At the closing session of this congress, the delegates voted to approve the Resolution of the 10th Provincial Farmers' Union Congress with important contents drafted with the wisdom and enthusiasm of the whole staff of farmers in the province. Specifically, the congress sets annual targets for organizing and coordinating vocational training and retraining for at least 1,000 members; 100% of good production and business farmers to be trained for production and business skills, and be consulted about agricultural policies of the province. The whole Farmers' Union network strives every year to have more than 60% of farmer households register for the title of good production and business farmer; in which from 80% of households winning the title of good production and business farmers at all levels... Annually, Farmers' Union in each district, town and city in the province will establish at least 1 cooperative or 1 safe agricultural product store...

In 2023-2028 tenure, Farmers' Union at all levels mobilize 100% of good business farmer households to commit producing and trading agricultural products that ensure food safety and hygiene; 100% Farmers' Union at all levels organize supporting and consulting activities for farmers. Associations at all levels will coordinate to provide legal advice and legal aid for more than 10,000 farmer officers and members; build at least 80 professional farmer associations and build at least 20 innovative and effective agricultural start-ups.

On this occasion, collectives and farmers in the province were happy and motivated as receiving excellent emulation flag awarded by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Union for 5 consecutive years. This is provincial farmers’ pride and effort after a long process of actively working and overcoming all difficulties and challenges. This will encourage the spirit of all farmer officers and members to continue promoting self-reliance and self-reliance; solidarity, dynamism, creativity, integration; put more efforts to successfully implement the Resolution of the Provincial Farmers' Union Congress 2023-2028, contributing to the effective implementation of political tasks, responding to the trust of the Party Committee, the government and the expectations of farme officials and members in the province...

 At the closing session, the 10th Provincial Farmers' Union’s Executive Board expressed gratitude to members of the 9th term and former leaders of Provincial Farmers' Union; awarded certificates of merit issued by the Prime Minister to 2 individuals; awarded the Medal "For the Vietnamese Peasants" of Vietnam Farmers' Union Central Committee to 16 individuals; awarded certificates of merit issued by the Chairman of Provincial People's Committee to 10 collectives and 30 individuals having outstanding achievements in farmers' union works and movements in the 2018-2023 term...
