On the afternoon of August 25, provincial Police Agency held a ceremony to announce the decisions of the Minister of Public Security and the Director of provincial Police Agency on streamlining the apparatus and personnel of the police units under the Ministry of Public Security’s Project No. 19/DA-BCA and Plan No. 01/PA-BCA dated July 10, 2023.
Colonel Ta Van Dep hands over the decisions to leaders of the divisions of provincial Police Agency
According to the decision of the Minister of Public Security, provincial Police Agency will be reduced by 3 divisions (from 29 professional divisions to 26 ones). Accordingly, the unit will merge the Division of Building the movement to protect the national security into the Advisory Division; merge the Environmental Police Division into the Police Department for investigating crimes related to corruption, economy, and smuggling and change its name into the Police Division for investigating crimes related to corruption, economy, smuggling and the environment; merge 2 professional divisions of provincial Security Force. In addition, for the Police Agencies of districts, towns and cities, they will merge the National Security Movement Construction Team into the General Team and change its name into the Staff Team.
Speaking at the ceremony to announce the above decisions, Colonel Ta Van Dep, Director of provincial Police Agency affirmed that the arrangement of the police apparatus of units and localities under the direction of the Minister of Public Security was in accordance with the characteristics, functions and tasks of each local unit, ensuring the requirements of work, combating and building up a streamlined, effective, efficiency police force.
Colonel Ta Van Dep emphasized that in fact, merging and streamlining the apparatus of organizations often encounters obstacles at first, but then they are consolidated and operate effectively. For provincial Police Agency, the rearrangement of the apparatus was implemented in the spirit of democracy and transparency, with efficiency, qualifications, and aspirations considered..., so it has basically met the set requirements.
He also noted that the merged units should receive entrusted tasks immediately so as not to interrupt them. They must unite internally, regardless of the old and new staff, joining hands to well complete assigned tasks.
