Collective economic development reinforced

Binh Duong provincial collective economy remains shortcomings but there are basic developing measures, contributing to common development of local economy.

Striving to reach a 12% growth

According to the 2012 collective economic development plan ratified by the provincial People’s Committee, operation of collective economy will be changed and improved in attachment to local socio-economic programs. The plan also sets out measures of expanding cooperation and development of cooperative economic models in the industrialization and modernization trend.

To reach the set plans, some concrete goals are set out. They include a 5% increase in new cooperative models, a 12% rise in collective economic growth, a VND2.5-4.5mil income of per capita per month and 100% rate in trained cooperative managers…

For better development

Many cooperatives maintain stability and development thanks to internal force and responsibility. Aside from economic development, the cooperatives have focused on welfare for members and positive participation in social movements as well as acceleration of unity and development.

In the first 6 months of this year, the entire province had 45,482 cooperative members, up 1,718 members from 2010 and an 8% rise from the set plan. 92 out of 99 local cooperatives’ production value reached VND980bil, a 46% rise from the same period of last year.

To develop collective economic sector in right way, the provincial Cooperative Committee in the first months of this year have cooperated with localities to control and find out losses at 14 cooperatives. 

In the first half of this year, the committee offered loans worth over VND50bil to cooperatives and set up 7 new cooperatives. The committee has targeted to reach an average income of VND2.5-3mil per capita per month.
