Early June 19, the People’s Committee of Phu Loi ward in TDM city kicked off a competition in celebration of Vietnam Family Day (June 28).

Ten outstanding families from nine quarters in the ward attended the competition with two main contents: Family knowledge and cooking. The organizers awarded thirteen prizes to outstanding families at the competition. Among them, first prize went to the family of Lai Thai Hoa in quarter 4 while second and third prizes were awarded to the families of Huynh Thi Bac Hanh and Le Thi Binh in quarter 8, respectively.

The competition aimed to honor the traditional cultural values of Vietnamese families in accordance with the 2013 family theme of “Upholding traditional cultural families, building up advanced and happy Vietnamese families” and affirm the responsibility of the society to the family work, actively contributing to the campaign of “The entire people consolidate to build a cultural lifestyle in residential areas”.
