Dau Tieng receives 360 blood units at “Pink spring” festival 2022

On January 24, Dau Tieng district’s Red Cross Society coordinated with relevant units to organize the “Pink spring” festival 2022. The festival attracted the participation of a large number of people from all strata.

In order to replenish the blood reserve for emergency and treatment of patients in need of blood, especially during the upcoming Tet (Lunar New Year) festival 2022, the district’s Red Cross Society has strengthened the tasks of propagandizing and mobilizing people from all strata to participate in voluntary blood donation. According to the plan, this year's “Pink spring” festival, organized by the district’s Red Cross Society, will receive 300 blood units. However, with the efforts in propaganda and mobilization, the organizers is likely to receive 360 units of blood.

The results of the program will contribute to promoting the local voluntary blood donation movement in 2022. The amount of blood received at the festival will be transferred to Ho Chi Minh city-based Cho Ray Hospital’s Blood Transfusion Center for screening and preservation, contributing to serving the emergency and treatment of medical facilities in the coming time.
