In a bid to offer help to needy women in economic development, Di An town’s Women’s Union will strive to mobilize VND250mln to the local Saving Fund for Poor Women in 2014. The town’s Women’s Union will also maintain loans on credit from the town-based branch of the Vietnam Bank for Social Policies, the town’s Credit Fund for Poor Women and other loan support programs in order to help poor women continue getting loans for production and business.

In 2013, Di An town’s Women’s Unions at all levels provided nearly VND14bln in loan for more than 17,000 women from the above sources. Of these, more than VND1.3bln was disbursed from the town’s saving fund for poor women.
