Di An takes care of young workers via significant activities

Propaganda promoted

In 2014, the Organization Board of Di An town’s Project of “Uniting and gathering young workers held many propaganda shows on skills to build up happy families, some provisions of the Labor Code, the Law on Family and Marriage, the Law on Road Traffic…for young workers.

The Organizing Board also sped up dissemination of information about reproductive health, HIV/AIDS prevention…among young workers at the local lodging facilities; delivered 315 books on how to well bring up children, education of lifestyle skills among minors at sub-unions for female worker at the local lodging facilities.

Gifts presented to young workers with difficulties in 2014

Pham Chien Thang, Vice-Secretary of Di An town’s Youth Union said that the Organization Board also had good coordination with provincial Department of Population-Family Planning, the Youth Union of provincial Anti-Fire Police Department, the town’s Division of Culture-Information, Traffic Police Agency and Division of Population-Family Planning in propaganda work…

Practical care

Authorities at all levels of Di An town have also actively paid attention to taking care of young workers’spiritual and material lives. In 2014, Di An ward’s Organization Board of the Project set a support group at the sub-union for female workers No.4 in Nhi Dong quarter 1 with 60 members; maintained the operation of 13 loan-supporting groups with the involvement of 173 female workers. The ward also introduced jobs to 53 lodgers with the monthly income of VND2.5mln-3.5mln per capita per month. In addition, the Organizing Board presented gifts to young workers with difficult circumstances; mobilized proprietors to subsidize the cost of hiring rooms for jobless young workers…

Meanwhile, Binh Thang ward organized a lot of activities taking care of young workers’spiritual lives. The food festival with folk games and art performance at Binh An Garment-Textile Industrial Park with the participation of 1,500 young workers was a typical example for this. Through the festival, the Organization Board also presented more than 190 gifts, including essential goods, to young workers.

Binh Thang ward also opened 12 news-bulletins for young workers at sub-unions; organized trips to the town’s museum for them; launched the “Green Sunday” campaign with many significant activities to protect the environment…
