Di An town puts the Government’s Resolution No.11 into life

In response to the Government’s Resolution No.11/NQ-CP on curbing inflation, stabilizing the macro-economy and ensuring social welfare, Binh Duong province has cut down expenses in the field of basic construction by hundreds of billions of dong.

As one of the province’s localities with the great demand for infrastructure construction, Di An town has also taken measures to cut down investment capital in this field and save other many expenses under the management of the local People’s Committee.

Di An town’s Department of Finance and Planning said that the total investment capital for the town’s basic construction projects in early this year is estimated at VND331.5bln. After consideration, the town’s People’s Committee has decided to reduce by VND34.1bln in investment capital of these projects.

In terms of the State budget spending, Chairman of Di An district’s People’s Committee Dang Minh Hung has called for a halt to the new equipment of cars, air conditioners, office supplies…while only considering and dealing with the relevant contracts signed before Feb.28, 2011. The town’s People’s Committee will also cut down expenses for the organization of meetings at maximum level…

In the remaining 9 months of this year, Di An town’s Department of Finance and Planning will save more than VND7.7bln in State budget spending for the local beneficiary units, according to deputy head of the department Dang Thi Ngoc Tram.

Along with cutting down public investment and strengthening measures on thrift practice, Di An town’s People’s Committee has set up a plan to promote production and trading, stabilize the market and ensure public welfare.

Accordingly, Di An town’s Labor Union will cooperate with provincial IPs Management Board and relevant agencies to closely monitor over the implementation of the labor laws while taking initiative in mapping out measures to improve the income of laborers.

The town’s Father Front Committee and many other mass organizations will also team up with the People’s Committees of the wards, communes and the executive boards of the local proprietors’ clubs to mobilize the local proprietors not to increase the costs of hiring lodging-rooms for workers, especially those with low income, contributing to maintaining and stabilizing the lives of laborers amid price fluctuations.
