EcoLakes contributes to changing real estate market, says General Director of SetiaBecamex Khoo Teck Chong

EcoLakes My Phuoc urban area is developed by SetiaBecamex, a joint venture between Setia and Vietnam’s State-owned Becamex IDC Corp. This is the greatest FDI project in the province with a total area of 226 ha and a total investment capital of US$620mln. After more than three years of construction, SetiaBecamex has handed over 251 townhouses in the “Heaven Garden” area for its clients. This is seen as a meaningful event for the investor. Mr.Khoo Tech Chong, General Director of SetiaBecamex said:

 

This is a memorable event as we have handed over 251 townshouses in the first phase of the project, about two months earlier than the initial commitment. We are very proud of the achievement, showing our capacity as well as support and cooperation at high level that we have received from the local agencies and community.

 

Will the EcoLakes project impact on the current real estate market?

 

Many people said that Ecolakes is seen as a new element that contributes to changing the current real estate market…Over the past time, we have also received great support and trust from the market and clients. We are very grateful to this and will try our best to give repayment by active and substantial actions…

 

What is the difference between EcoLakes and other real estate projects?

 

In a bid to make difference from other real estate projects, we have firstly focused on building the project’s social infrastructure works, including an urban park and a white sand lake. They are the vivid symbol of our commitment to the environment and the community. They will be also a place for organizing many events and community activities, making us and the surrounding community closer.

 

Secondly, we have built and launched the EcoLakes show village, the only and first of its kind in Vietnam. The EcoLakes show village is not only a place to introduce our products to clients, but also shows our capacity. It is also a good place for us to organize community activities…

 

What about the Ecolakes project’s architecture and planning?

 

The overall planning of the EcoLakes project is built by a renowned architecture of Malaysia, based on the Vietnamese young people’s diversified demand towards flexibility and aspiration of rising up as well as the project’s unique geographical position with the “LiveLearnWorkPlay” philosophy.

 

Entire urban area is surrounded by fences. The houses are protected by port and checked regularly to ensure safety. We have also applied the idea of “Green Street” to ensure that cable systems, telecommunications and drainage systems are underground to increase safety for clients. In addition, we will soon work out a commercial center to meet all the needs shopping, entertainment and dining, bringing people herein a perfect lifestyle…

 

What is your feeling about the event of early handing over townhouses to clients?

 

I’m full of emotion when seeing the chance of the Ecolakes urban area that is being formed via this event.... Finally, I wish that families will enjoy a happy life in the nice urban area.
