Efforts of fighting fires and explosions in dry season

“Responding the 17^th national week for labor safety and hygiene - fire and explosion prevention and fighting 2015 as well as fire and explosion fighting and prevention in dry season, the provincial fire control policeman force will hold dissemination session on fire fighting and prevention to improve role and duty of individuals and leaders working at units and companies”, Nguyen Van Dut, vice director of the provincial fire control policeman force said.

According to the provincial fire control policeman force’s statistics, the entire province in the past year occurred 32 fires at enterprises, families and private facilities, losing more than VND62bil. Reason of these fires was from overload of electric using, carelessness and more. Compared with 2013, the number of fires reduced 10 cases.

Facing risk of fires and explosion in dry season, the provincial fire control policeman force has spurred dissemination to improve people’s awareness. In the first quarter of 2015, provincial fire control policeman force opened 11 training classes on fire fighting and prevention with the participation of 6,999 people, trained skills of fire fighting and explosion for more than 8,000 people.

In addition, the provincial fire control policeman force inspected safety of fire fighting and prevention for more than 1,700 facilities of petrol, oil, liquid gas, markets, trade centers, craft villages, processing workshops.
