In the year of 2010, local national defense, socio-economy reached many important achievements, making a premise for the province to develop rapidly and sustainably in 2011 and following years. Talking to Binh Duong Newspaper’s reporters, the provincial People’s Committee Le Thanh Cung, said:

Local goals in 2011 are to focus sources to stabilize economy with the trend of rapid and sustainable development, to reach a higher growth than 2010, strengthen political security and ensure national defense.

The year of 2011 is the first year Binh Duong conducts missions and solutions of socio-economic development for the 2011-2015 period, could you tell about major solutions of economic development in this year?

In 2011, the provincial People’s Committee builds and issues some key programs, detailed action plans to concretize missions and goals of the 9th local party congress’ resolutions. The province keeps stepping up transfer of economic and labor structure according to service-industry development in combination with modernization process; developing urban, hi-tech agriculture and building new rural areas; developing infrastructure facility in conformity with planning and developing orientation of sector and Southern key economic zone to exploit advantages of local socio-economic growth.

Besides, the province will readjust planning of some sectors; focus on hi-tech development, urge for development of auxiliary industry as well as minimize investments outside of industrial parks and compounds, re-arrange mineral exploitation industry to cater for business production and business.

Moreover, the provincial People’s Committee steered all level units to reform administrative procedures perfectly, transparently and publicly. The locality pays special attention to structure, human resources for the sake of local growth. The province keeps offering competitive, equal environment for economic sectors, supporting investors in compensation and site clearance. Additionally, the locality will concentrate on solving difficulties, luring development of high value services, sectors of trade, finance, banking, insurance, telecom, transport, tourism, education…

One of other important solutions is that the local administration will check, supplement and adjust sectoral planning, excel decentralization, hasten progress of new urban area in Binh Duong industry-service-urban complex as well as key works of local infrastructure facility.

To conduct sustainable development, aside from economic solutions, what measures does the province have for field of socio-culture, national defense, sir?

The provincial People’s Committee steers relevant units to excel issued programs, projects and policies on social welfare, to mobilize many sources to take care for privileged people, excel “Paying debts of gratitude” movement, to focus on economic development in attachment to social policy and job placement.

Besides, the province will implement solutions of sustainable poverty reduction effectively and synchronously as well as steer units to conduct planning on local vocational training till 2020…

In addition, the local authority will steer local Public Security, Military Headquarters to build measures against crimes, improve units’ responsibility of complaints, solve strikes and go-slows timely, and ensure political security and social order during Tet and holidays and events…
