Good preparation for serving travel demand on April 30th

The occasion of April 30th and May 1st of this year will bring a long holiday. Thus the number of passengers is predicted to increase. To better serve traveling need of passengers, provincial Department of Transport has asked bus stations and subordinate units to devise plans to serve people’s needs.

Implementing directions of provincial Department of Transport, bus stations and transport businesses within the province have mobilized all available resources to serve people’s travelling traveling during the holidays.

To fixed routes between north – south, Management board of bus stations signed contracts with transport units in the north to reinforce buses beyond regular schedule; will increased 3 more buses for each route to the west, and 2 buses for other routes…

Particularly, to 12 routes to Dai Nam Tourist Park, Suoi Tien, Dam Sen, the Board will add more buses, routes, and back-up buses. Drivers are required to run on prescribed schedule, and are not allowed to skip any stations, raise ticket fees. Officials will be assigned to monitor bus operation 24/24 at stations. 

Units have prepared carefully for travelling needs.

Mr. Vu Quang Thanh, Deputy Director of Phuong Trinh JSC, said, up to now, the company has prepared to add more 254 trips for each route from April 25th to May 3rd. Namely, increasing 100 trips for Thu Dau Mot - My Phuoc route, 60 trips for TDM - Eastern Bus Station route… In addition, the company will fine-tune the number of trips in accordance with actual situation to serve customers. 

Additionally, Management board of bus stations cooperated with competent authorities to secure social order and security, fire prevention and fighting at bus stations; encourage 100% officials to work on holidays; inform customers of schedule, ticket fees, bus numbers so that customers could get their buses…

Mr. Pham Van Son, Director of provincial Bus station, said, learning from experiences, this year, they would arrange a number of buses according to customers’ need, and make timely adjustments to trips and buses to better serve people travelling. The Board will also coordinate with Traffic inspectors to enhance inspection of transport businesses to check ticket prices during holidays.

Holidays of April 30th and May 1st of this year will last long, thus people’s need for travelling will increase. However, provincial bus stations have not planed to increase ticket prices up to now.
