Inspections on food safety and hygiene on Tet 2014 launched

Update: 14-01-2014 | 00:00:00

The investigation was to assess the State management work on food safety and hygiene, market, demand on goods, foodstuff consumption, price listing at shops in the Thu Dau Mot market.

The delegation focused on items in service for Tet holiday including fruit, sugar-coated fruit, dried and fresh foodstuff and many more.

According to Mai Thi Dung, commodities for Tet holiday are very plentiful and various and selling price is listed adequately.

However, in order to ensure customers’ health and food safety and hygiene, functional agencies should spur inspection and investigation of goods’ origin, expiration date and take samples to assess quality of foodstuff. In addition, functional agencies need to arrange parking lots properly to create order and convenience for shoppers.
