Early May 19, provincial Red Cross Society coordinated with the Emulation Bloc No. 7 - Fatherland Front, political-social mass organizations to organize a "zero dong” market-day in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Hoa ward. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation and members of provincial Party Standing Committee, leaders of departments and agencies in the province.

At the market-day, provincial Red Cross Society gave gifts for 300 workers with difficult circumstances in 9 districts, towns and cities in the province. Each gift is worth over VND 1.7 million, including VND 500,000 in cash, supported by provincial Labor Union and necessities worth more than VND 1.2 million.
Speaking at the market-day, Mr.Loi said that the global economic slowdown has affected jobs and incomes of workers. Provincial leaders hope that workers will try to overcome immediate difficulties, further making contributions to the common development of the province in the coming time…
Mr.Loi also suggested the No. 7 Emulation Bloc, provincial Red Cross Society, businesses and donors to further join hands to take care of workers ‘lives, contributing to helping them stick with Binh Duong.

*Dau Tieng district’s Red Cross Society in collaboration with the Party Committee and People's Committee of Thanh Tuyen commune also organized a ceremony to launch the Humanitarian Month 2023, in attendance of Nguyen Minh Thuy, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee’s Organization Commission.
The Humanitarian Month 2023 comprises of a series of activities towards the community such as organizing "Zero dong” market-days for 100 disadvantaged people in Thanh Tuyen commune; awarding 50 scholarships worth VND 50 million to poor-but-excellent pupils; handing over 5 “red cross” houses worth VND 659 million to the poor in Thanh Tuyen, Long Tan, Minh Tan, Dinh Thanh communes.
*A ceremony to launch the Humanitarian Month 2023 and emulation movement of "Good people, good deeds - Working together to build up a compassionate community" was held in Phu Giao district, in attendance of Ho Quang Diep, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Inspection Commission.
At the ceremony, the district’s Red Cross Society organized a "zero dong” market-day, giving 250 gifts for households with extremely difficult circumstances; awarding 50 scholarships worth VND 1 million each to disadvantaged students and donating 2 “red cross” houses to 2 families with extremely difficult circumstances in Phuoc Hoa commune.
*Tan Uyen city’s Red Cross Society held a "zero dong” market-day and awarded scholarships to poor-but-excellent students, in attendance of Mai Hung Dung, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice- Chairman of provincial People's Committee.
At the event, 100 vouchers worth VND 800,000 each were given to poor people, workers with difficult circumstances. The city’s Red Cross Society awarded scholarships to the local poor-but-excellent students with a total value of VND 50 million.
*Thuan An city has also organized a ceremony to launch the Humanitarian Month 2023, in attendance of colonel Nguyen Hoang Minh, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Commander of provincial Military Command.
Accordingly, the units awarded 50 scholarships to students with extremely difficult circumstances in An Phu ward; organized a “zero dong” market-day; provided free check-ups and medicine for 300 needy people.
*On the morning of the same day, Di An city’s Red Cross Society held a ceremony to launch the Humanitarian Month 2023 and organized a "zero dong” market-day, in attendance of Bui Thanh Nhan, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Secretary of Di An city’s Party Committee.
At the ceremony, Di An city’s Red Cross Society presented more than 400 gifts to people with difficult circumstances and blind people in the city; awarded 50 scholarships to 50 poor-but-excellent pupils; donated 10 sugarcane juice carts worth VND 100 million to the poor.
*In Bau Bang district, provincial Red Cross Society organized a "zero dong” market-day, awarding scholarships and providing free medical check-ups and medicine for disadvantaged people in Hung Hoa commune. The event was attended by Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice-Chairwoman of provincial People's Council.
Accordingly, the "zero dong” market-day gave 150 gifts for 150 local disadvantaged households. Along with that, the units awarded 50 scholarships to 50 poor-but-excellent students in the district. There were also 150 local disadvantaged people given free medical check-ups and medicine.
