Following Uncle Ho’s teachings by concrete jobs

That is the thinking and action of Nguyen Sy Hai, technical supervisor of Asia Packaging Industries Vietnam Company in My Phuoc II Industrial Park. Implementing Uncle Ho’s teachings of “Emulation is patriotism, and patriots must emulate”, Hai has made greater efforts to complete his tasks and create new technical renovations to master technology for the sake of production.

In addition, he has bravely put out measures of technical innovation, bringing high economic efficiency. For instance, with a system of pumping water for livelihood and production, Hai suggested to install an inverter machine to reduce speed of motor. This deed has created a remarkable result, helping reduce nearly 50% of consumed electric energy.

Additionally, Hai cooperated with production units to use inverters for stabilizing pressure of oil. This initiative not only reduces electric consumption but contributes to stabilize quality of products and increase output. Furthermore, he built a supervision system with an automatic report with the cost of only US$2,000 whilst installment of this system on the market was priced at nearly $100,000.

Over the past 2 years of 2011-2012, there were 100 laborers honored by the provincial People’s Committee chairman for their excellent and creative achievements. They are simple laborers, overcoming difficulties to dedicate to works, bringing practical results for businesses in general and local development in general.

Many encouraging results

Le Van Dat, chairman of Ben Cat Industrial Parks’ Trade Union assessed that after 2 years of launching and applying creatively the Instruction 03-CT/TW into practical condition of unit, the trade union has created many positive changes among party members, cadres and trade unionists. More and more new models and good deeds have emerged. Specifically, patriotism emulation movement among workforce is an emulation movement with initiatives and technical improvements. 

To spur implementation of the Instruction 03-CT/TW in 2013, the trade union has set out some key tasks of building strong and clean party cells, finding out and honoring typical organizations and individuals, excelling functions of trade union at businesses, cooperating with businesses to build a harmonic, stable and advanced labor tie, spurring emulation movements among laborers.
