Local leaders debate plan on paying gift visits to Lao Cai province’s soliders

On March 18, the provincial party committee held a meeting on debating plan on paying gift visits to Lao Cai province’s soldiers who used to join in struggles in Thu Dau Mot battlefield on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Southern liberation day (April 30, 1975-2015). Pham Van Canh, chairman of the provincial People’s Council chaired the meeting.

Reportedly, Lao Cai province now has 6 martyrs and 31 soldiers who used to join in struggles in Thu Dau Mot battlefield. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Southern liberation day, the provincial party committee, People’s Committee will map out plans to pay gift visits to these objects in the end of March, 2015. The total expense of this visit is worth of VND525mil.  

Addressing the meeting, Pham Van Canh, chairman of the provincial People’s Council stressed that this visit is to express solidarity and respect of Binh Duong soldiers and people for contributors in the anti-US resistance war.
