Localities ready for recruit handover festival

Localities in the province have urgently carried out preparations in order to well organize the 2022 camping festival welcoming new recruits on February 15 and 16 ahead.

The camping festival is being focused for organization by the Youth Unions of districts, towns and cities with the following contents: "For friends who join the army", "For soldiers in border regions and on islands". Accordingly, the camping festivals will honor young Party members and typical Youth Union members who voluntarily join the army, commend outstanding families in encouraging young people to join the army, and give gifts for the families of recruits with difficult circumstances…The organizing boards of the local camping festivals also uphold the spirit of organizing activities in a secure and suitable form to the local situation against Covid-19 pandemic prevention and control.

*Ben Cat town is selected by provincial Military Service Council as a place to organize the recruit reception ceremony 2022. As of now, the town’s Military Service Council is focusing on completing final steps, preparing the best conditions for the ceremony at the Iron Triangle tunnel as planned, thereby encouraging young people to set off for millitary service, completing 100% of the recruit handover target at 2 levels.

In 2022, provincial People's Committee has assigned the town the target of selecting and calling for 152 citizens to join the army, including 2 official Party members, or 1.38% of the target and 150 Youth Union members. For the recruit handover ceremony getting good results, over the past time, the town's Militart Service Council implemented the motto of "recruit someone, that person will be", giving priority to those with intermediate to university levels and health types 1, 2.

*Carrying out the task of selecting and calling for citizens to join the army in 2022, North Tan Uyen district’s Military Service Council has guaranteed to issue orders to call for citizens to join the army under to the set target with 90 citizens for military service, 2 Party members enlisted and 27 citizens for police service. According to the district’s Military Service Council, this year the camping festival to welcome new recruits is held at the memorial site of War Zone D in Dat Cuoc commune.

*The enlistment work of Dau Tieng district has been carried out smoothly with quality ensured. Among 209 young people of Dau Tieng district recruited for military service, there are 6 Party members for public security this year and the remainder being trade unionists. There are over 62% of new recruits with high school graduation or higher, including more than 12% with university or college levels. As of now, the district has well realized Covid-19 prevention and control for young people who are going to set off for military service.
