Many activities to take care of and support needy children and people

On June 1, provincial Red Cross Association coordinated with relevant units to organize the 10th "zero dong” market-day of 2022 at the humanitarian point on 30-4 street in Thu Dau Mot city’s Phu Hoa ward. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

At the market-day, provincial Red Cross Association gave gifts worth VND600,000 each, including powdered milk, cake and notebooks, for 50 children at charity classes in Thu Dau Mot city. The association also donated vouchers to the “zero dong” market-day to 250 workers and people with difficult circumstances. The total value of this market-day was over VND 220 million.

Speaking at the market-day, Mr. Loc wanted businesses, organizations and individuals to further support more resources for provincial Red Cross Association to maintain humanitarian activities in the future. On the occasion of International Children's Day (June 1), he also sent greetings to children while wishing them good health with more attention from the society.

*On the same day, provincial Red Cross Association in collaboration with departments, sectors and mass organizations held a delegation to visit the local social support centers. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loc, member of provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee.

Accordingly, the delegation visited and donated gifts to children at provincial Social Work and Support Center in Thoi Hoa ward’s quarter 2 in Ben Cat town. Here, provincial Red Cross Society donated 200 bottles of powdered milk, 20 boxes of fruit, 1,000 eggs, 400 white books, 3 boxes of wet wipes and 2 boxes of diapers. The total value of these gifts was VND 65 million.

On this occasion,leaders of provincial Red Cross Association presented 200 bottles of powdered milk, 10 boxes of fruit, 1,000 eggs, and 600 notebooks, 3 boxes of wet wipes and 2 boxes of diapers to Que Huong humanitarian center in Di An city’s Tan Dong Hiep ward. The total value of these gifts was VND65 million, helping the center get more conditions to take care of and nurture disadvantaged children.
