Many new effective models of following uncle Ho

Implementing the Politburo’s Directive 03-CT/TW regarding promoting the studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh, TDM City has developed many new effective models, making the studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh become thoughts and behaviors of cadres.

Being unanimous to follow uncle Ho’s teaching

Mr. Nguyen Tuan, Member of TDM City Party Standing Committee cum Head of Propaganda Training Committee, said, after 4 years of implementation, many initiatives, new practical models have been developed and created consensus among Party members and people of all strata. Spirit and attitudes of cadres, public servants have been improved. Experiential learning confirms the need to follow the moral example of uncle Ho. Currently, TDM City Party Committee continues to deploy on "Studying and following the moral example of Ho Chi Minh on honesty, responsibility, being close to the people, uniting to build strong and transparent Party”.

Due to good implementation of Directive 03 of the Politburo, the city has accelerated urbanization process, improved people’s lives. At present, per capita income reached VND62.9 million/person/year, urban infrastructure was invested and improved, rural roads were upgraded, lighting system spread over 50%. Poor household rate fell by 0.3%. Facilities for education, health, sport was invested overall; 51% local schools were recognized to achieve national standards. Political system has been consolidated, each cadres, public servants attached much importance to studying and following uncle Ho.

Mr. Nguyen Xuan Quy, Head of Veterans Association of quarter 1, Phu Loi ward, said, every month, he writes a commitment to following uncle Ho’s teaching, then applies this into daily life and work. As a cadre, he has worked wholeheartedly to serve the people, been pioneer and an example in all activities.

Diversifying models

Party committees and cells have sought to follow uncle Ho’s teaching through many divers, practical models, such as: models of Chanh Loc 7 quarter, Chanh My ward; Phu Hoa ward, Phu Tan ward…

For example, the model of “Encouraging learning promoting talent” of Party cell 1 Phu Hoa ward has mobilized contributions from local benefactors, cadres to help poor pupils. During 9 years, the model has helped many poor students continue to go to school. The unit also supports regularly 85 disadvantaged pupils. In the 2014-2015 academic year, the unit mobilized 1,700 gifts for pupils. Local people have responded positively to activities of this model. Mr. Tran Anh Tuan, Secretary of quarter 1 Party cell of Phu Hoa ward, said: “Following uncle Ho’s teaching to taking care of young generations, the model of “Encouraging learning promoting talent” was established and has maintained for 9 years. The model has not only aroused the spirit of kindness but also helped cadres to better themselves, lived sparingly to help studious poor pupils”.

The model of “Rice jar of love” of Military Party cell of Phu Tan ward has shared difficulties, contributed a part of monthly salary to help poor families in the localities. To gradually reduce poverty sustainably, this model has been a useful approach to show solidarity among people, and encourage poor people to improve the live. The model was established in 2013, and then has been replicated, along with the movement of studying and following uncle Ho. Although the contribution is small, this express concern of cadres, motivate poor families to overcome difficulties.
