Many significant activities for youth workers

During 2 days of May 23rd and 24th, Youth Workers Support and Development Center under Central Youth Union in collaboration with provincial Youth Workers and Young Labors Supporting Center held the “Youth workers following uncle Ho’s teachings” festival. This was a practical and meaningful program to enhance the activities accompanying young workers in industrial parks.

The festival took place with various booths of job counseling and introducing; legal and reproductive health counseling; selling apparel items, home appliances; safe driving contest, safe traffic propaganda; free health checking and medication; folk games with prizes; cultural show…

The festival also introduced newborn Youth workers connecting club (Number 1 club) established by provincial Youth Workers and Young Labors Supporting Center. The club was to build up a young worker’s core force in order to propagate Party’s policies, guidelines, Government’s laws and regulations; especially policies accommodating healthy playgrounds, improve quality of spiritual life of youth workers.

Mr. Do Van Phung, Deputy Director of the center, said: "The Number 1 club had initially 50 members representing companies and lodging houses in Ben Cat town and costumes were sponsored by Viettel – Binh Duong branch. Every industrial park, area, company is expected to have a club with 100 members. In the future, we will strengthen our ties with businesses to develop clubs across the town”. 

A highlight activity of the festival was photo exhibition about uncle Ho with the theme “Youth workers following uncle Ho’s teachings”. Exhibition booth was decorated with elegant pictures of uncle Ho and youth workers, and various books about virtue, ideology, life, and career of Ho Chi Minh. In addition, "Yellow Book following uncle Ho", "Diary following uncle Ho" of many individuals, collectives, many composition of uncle Ho from provincial young ones, and images of youth activities. At the festival, Mr. Le Duc Tho, worker of Ki Rin Company, said: “The day had many practical booths for young workers. I earned more useful knowledge of traffic safety, healthcare, and was so touched as seeing images of uncle Ho and youth workers”.

A special feature of the festival was the opening of Youth workers Library at provincial Youth Workers and Young Labors Supporting Center. The library consisted of 150 books on literature, life skills, and President Ho Chi Minh, General Vo Nguyen Giap, opens in the evenings and Sundays. The model was a to helped young worker widening knowledge, enhancing reading culture among youth workers. Mr. Do Van Phung said: “The library will be equipped more books and computers to facilitate information looking up, creating a healthy playground for youth workers”.

Speaking at the festival, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Secretary of Central Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, said: “The Party, Government, Central Youth Union, and General Labor Confederation have paid much attention to youth workers, which is a core producing and pioneering force. In the 6th national “Young excellent workers” 2015 festival, Youth Workers Support and Development Center under Central Youth Union in collaboration with provincial Youth Workers and Young Labors Supporting Center held the festive day with many meaningful activities in order to create a healthy, practical playground for young workers, encouraging workers to work harder and better”.
