Measures of traffic safety among school students intensified

Binh Duong provincial Department of Transport announced that the unit has proposed to the People's Committees of districts, towns, cities, and BOT transportation enterprises to focus on implementing a coordinated set of solutions to ensure traffic safety for school-age students.

Binh Duong provincial Department of Transport proposes localities and relevant units to enhance the organization of traffic at school areas, reorganize unreasonable and potential unsafe points on the managed road sections. The Department proposes to establish a list to classify locations where roads pass through schools without ensuring safety, assess the causes and risk factors that pose a traffic safety hazard to students around school areas; at the same time, continue to improve the transportation infrastructure system in school areas.

Concurrently, it is necessary to enhance coordination with schools to effectively implement traffic segregation, prevention and control of congestion in key areas, roads around school areas; arrange locations and traffic flow for students to come and go reasonably so that parents can pick up and drop off without stopping, parking on the road, or occupying the sidewalk causing traffic congestion.
