 Nguyen Minh Luan, vice-chairman of provincial Farmers’ Society said that the emulation movement of “good farmers in production and business” has seen strong development in all fields of agricultural production, home craft and trading-services.

 Over the past three years, the whole province lured more than 105,000 turns of good farms at all levels to uphold their advantages to get rich.  

Many models with hi-economic efficiency have been discovered from the emulation movement of “good farmers in production and business”.

 Many effective models were also discovered through the emulation movement. They included the ornamental fish-raising model of Nguyen Tuan Kiet in TDM town’s Chanh Nghia ward; the safe vegetable-growing model of Nguyen Van Nhat in Thuan An town’s Binh Chuan ward; the model of growing ornamental trees plus lodging service developed by Le Hong Phuc in Thuan An town’s Lai Thieu ward…

 The above exemplary role-models in the emulation movement of “good farmers in production and business” greatly contributed to promoting the development of the local agricultural sector, generating jobs for rural laborers and supplying materials for the local processing industry over the past time.

 Through the emulation movement, the local farmers helped each other in economic development by many forms. There were nearly 11,000 turns of the local farmers receiving support on loan, fertilizer…with a total value of more than VND36bln.

 Provincial Farmers’ Society and its affiliates also teamed up with relevant agencies to transfer sci-tech advancements in agricultural production for the local farmers. Noticeably, the emulation movement helped nearly 3,500 farmer households escape poverty.

 In addition, the emulation movement was promoted in association with the program on new rural construction. Over the past three years, provincial Farmers’ Society and its affiliates mobilized the local farmers to contribute more than VND17bln and nearly 30 working days for upgrading rural roads with a total length of 806km; dredging canals, streams of 319km; building and upgrading 1,373 bridges, water inlet sluices…

 For the emulation movements getting better results, provincial Farmers’ Society has set many specific targets as follows: Striving to get 100% of affiliates launching the emulation movement and more than 90% of members registering to become “good farmers in production and business”; organizing the models for cooperation  and application of sci-tech advancements in production, harvest,  processing and consumption…
