MONRE offers guidance on new legal regulations on land

Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE) just issued Circular No. 02/2015/TT-BTNMT guiding some new legal regulations on land. Accordingly, river and sea flood plain and land of sea surface shall be rent within 50 years; however, the renting term could be expanded to 70 years for major investment projects with slow returns and investment projects in locations of specially difficult socio-economic position.

Besides, economic organizations allocated with land without land-use fees to build burial ground park before July 1, 2014 shall be eligible to continue the use without requirements to switch into charged land-use.

The Circular is effective from and on March 13, 2015 replacing the Circulars 01/2005/TT-BTNMT, 06/2007/TT-BTNMT, and 09/2013/TT-BTNMT.
