A meeting to discuss measures for helping people in difficulties and public servants on Tet 2011 was co-held by local People’s Council, Committee and party committee. According to the provincial Finance Department, the total Tet bonus expenditure for Tet 2011 is at nearly VND74bil, a 52% rise from the same period last year.

Based on budget balance and suggestion of units, participants at the meeting agreed on supporting beneficiaries on Tet 2010. Accordingly, the local administration will support heroic mothers, armed force heroes, typical privileged families with VND2mil each and war invalids, sick soldiers, relatives of martyrs, senior revolutionists with VND1.2mil each.

Meanwhile, officials, employees of state agencies, mass bodies, armed force at all levels will enjoy a Tet bonus of VND1mil each. Beneficiaries include trained students, poor families, disabled children, hamlet officials and militias will enjoy a subsidy of VND500,000 each and boarding poor patients VND320,000 each.

According to the meeting participants, this year’s Tet subsidy policy shows local leaders’ attention to privileged, poor, disabled people and public servants.
